We are currently hiring for 2 positions in our Community Creche, see details below:
Part Time Afterschool Assistant (20 Hours per week)
Hours of work: Mon-Fri 4 Hours per day & attending meetings/training when required
Location: Obair Community Crèche, Ennis Road, Newmarket on Fergus, Co Clare
Duties include:
§ The ideal candidate will assist the Childcare Team in the day to day operation of the afterschool service and to ensure high standards of care, education, safety and well-being of children in the setting.
§ Any other duties that may be assigned by the Crèche Manager
§ Reporting to Room Leader and Crèche Manager
Person specification:
Desirable Criteria:
§ Childcare relevant qualification
§ Experience working with children in a similar setting
§ Good working knowledge and experience of policy and related issues in the childcare sector
§ Good Communication Skills
§ Team Player
§ Respect confidentiality at all times of the children, their families and other staff members
§ Current First Aid & Manual Handling Certificate
§ Applicants must be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form and have 2 suitable references

Full Time Childcare Assistant(40 Hours per week)
Hours of work: Mon-Fri 8am – 6pm (Rotating 8 hour shifts) & attending meetings/training when required
Location: Obair Community Crèche, Ennis Road, Newmarket on Fergus, Co Clare
Duties include:
§ The ideal candidate will assist the Crèche Team in the day to day operation of the crèche and to ensure high standards of care, education, safety and well-being of children in the setting.
§ Any other duties that may be assigned by the Crèche Manager
§ Reporting to Room Leader and Crèche Manager
Person specification:
Essential Criteria:
§ Full FETAC level 5 in Childcare, however a full FETAC level 6 or above would be an advantage
Desirable Criteria:
§ Experience working with children in a similar setting
§ Knowledge of Children First National Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Children
§ Knowledge of Pre-School Regulations 2006
§ Good working knowledge and experience of policy and related issues in the childcare sector
§ Good Communication Skills
§ Team Player
