Village Harvest

The Newmarket on Fergus Meals on Wheels service has expanded to other areas in South Clare. This Autumn we would like to put a call out to anyone who may have fruit trees growing and do not have the time to harvest it. At this time of year fruit is in abundance and a lot of people have trees on their land or backyard that goes to waste or is eaten by birds.

If you do not want this fruit to go to waste, members of the Buzzstop Youth Café will come and pick this fruit which will then go towards the cost of producing Meals on Wheels for our area. This fruit can make a nutritious difference to the people in our community who avail of this service. If you are interested in donating your produce please call Eimear or Siobhán on (061) 368030.
